Too many supplemental materials?

I sent 2 research abstracts and 1 full research paper(which also has the abstract in it). Moreover, my club counselor sent an additional recommendation and my guidance counselor sent a mid-year report transcript and update on my senior year accomplishments. (I really want them to see my senior year achievements. Will this report get attention or will it get thrown out due to too many additional materials?)

I sent my research related materials a month after the application deadline not to bother the admission office with too much material all at once. (They said I can send it after the deadline) However, I am really regretting sending this much material. Will this result in a rejection for me?

Of course, you’re asking the impossible. But if I may: you’re discovering that you have bad impulse control – you just have to push more, even when sober judgment tells you to stop. This question is one of those. Results are under two weeks away. Resist the impulse to dwell on what’s unchangeable. You’re simply repeating that pattern.

I wish you luck on both fronts: the college results and this nervousness.

How can we know? You just have to wait it out. I personally think you shouldn’t have sent so many research papers, mostly because they certainly don’t have time to read them. I think it was fine for your GC to update your accomplishments if they were noteworthy. In all, it seems that you sent four or five supplements. I think you wish you hadn’t now. Good luck to you though, hope it works out.

No sense agonizing about what is already done.
