Too many supplements?

<p>Hey guys,</p>

<p>I was planning on sending an additional letter of rec from my middle school teacher (who I have stayed in contact with and been very involved with volunteer work and assistant coaching for track) and a one page research summary. The research summary is about 500 words on one page, but is in the process of being published to an academic journal. Is this too much to submit? I'm hoping they forward the research to the biology department, but I'm not exactly sure how that works. </p>

<p>I would definately send in the research, but most admissions counselors are against sending in an additional letter of recommendation becuase they think many times it is repetitive. Since you probably mention your volunteering and coaching in your app already, I would recommend to leave the extra rec out.</p>
