If one is transferring from a California Community college, but also has some work from a foreign University, is there a cutoff to the maximum number of units?

For example, if I have 400 transferable units (both CCC and University) will CSU not even consider my application when I apply?

I transferred from a jc last year and I think any extra units you have the csu will just ignore. They should only count the units required to get you in. So if you have 400 and the csu requires 100 the other 300 won't be used.

I believe only the uc system has unit caps, in which they wont accept anyone with over 90 semester units. the csu, being more lenient, will accept you with more units. although calpoly, being so competitive, may employ the unit cap also.. good luck
