*Ok here is my predicament: *

I took 22.5 quarter units at a CC while during HS (22.5)

I have taken 44 quarter units this year (66.5)

I will be taking 15 this summer (81.5)

The minimum to take each quarter is 12:
So minimum next year units is 36 (total:116.5)

The # of quarter units to be a junior is 90. I will be 26.5 units PAST that. Will most schools allow me to forego some units? or will I be banned from applying to some schools?

Current Schools I am looking at: Ivies, Chicago, Northwestern, Cal, WUSTL, Duke, Georgetown, Virginia, but what is the general rule?

PS: I am at UC Davis, and I am applying the upcoming fall as a Junior Transfer for 07.

you would have to contact schools indidivually, this type of thing varies from school to school.

Hmm...I will definately call them first thing tomorrow.
In the meantime: do you guys remember anything about max units while applying to these schools? Does the max unit only apply to units taken in the current college? Only transferrable units?

well for CAL i belive you will be over the allowed amount, and they will not even consider your applicaiton.

It says if your over 80 semester units that are not from a california community college they will not consider your application. and since your from UC Davis that will be too many units for any of the UCs

many schools do not count college credit taken in HS.

Hmm, UC Davis uses quarters system. 80 semester is 120 quarter, so should I think for that I should be alright...
Do you know if the 80 semester/120quarter limit also applies to UCLA?
