title says all. I was just wondering what everyone's opinion of what 10 majors will be in the most demand around 2013/2014??

At my school (I’m the class of 2013) the top major is biology.

1) Art History
2) Women and Gender’s Studies
3) Classics
4) Comparative Literature
5) Philosophy and Religious Studies
6) History
7) Sociology
8) English
9) Anthropology
10) Theatre

^ I agree, except you forgot Peace and Conflict Studies.

SmallCollegesFTW got it right.

Engineering man, any type will be, but i think it goes like this:
- Computer
- Biomedical
- Chemical
- Environmental
- Electrical
- Mechanical
- Aerospace
- Agricultural
- Industrial
- Civil

Classical Archaeology

ya’ll are forgetting psychology.

finance FTW

You forgot organic agriculture systems!
[Major in Organic Agriculture Systems Curriculum - Agricultural & Food Systems](http://afs.wsu.edu/majors/organic.htm)

I believe psychology should be in top 10.

Not to mention Myth and Folklore Studies.

Pottery? I think Cornell offers that major!

In no particular order or ranking.

Accounting

Engineering (especially Petroleum, Aerospace, Biomedical, Computer)

Mathematics/Actuarial Sciences

Nursing

Computer Science

Arabic/Islamic Studies Concentration

Dang…Can’t think of much more.

I agree with everything navyarf said.

I would include:
-Architecture
-Finance/Personal Finance

With the degrading infrastructure in the US, civil engineering might pickup.

Any Engineering major would be in high demand since so many students who are Engineering students go back to their country since they came as International students.

I’ve heard that architecture is very slow at the moment. Corporations don’t have as many profits to expand and build with. If the economy doesn’t recover quickly, it might still be hard to find work as an architect even in 2014.

Does anyone know if journalism is in demand?

Isn’t journalism a dying field?

Communication design (at least for my school)

Industrial design & labor
