As with graduates from previous years, Troys 2005 IB Diploma students received acceptance letters from many prestigious
colleges and universities that are not reflected in the final roster above. Such institutions include Claremont McKenna
College, Pitzer College, New York University, Emory University, Pennsylvania State University, Rensselear Polytechnic
Institute, Wellesley College, Princeton University, and many others. Final college acceptance is, of course, personally
decided.

Seattle inner city high school Garfield- data combined from 2004-2005 these are only enrolled students- some schools where no one chose to matriculate I deleted so as not to overstate admissions.
Interesting mix though- and I noticed that not everyone chose to attend Harvard or MIT or even Caltech who were admitted- I wonder where they ended up?

I know of one who went to Michigan and another UW Honors who were Ivy admits.

Wow. How many graduating classes does this include? Is it a huge school?

I believe this is for two years so that would be a little over 800 students total. About 90% go on to college.

Northside is a selective enrollment magnet school (public) in Chicago. Total school enrollment is approximately 800. The class of 2005 was the 6th class graduated since the school opened. Every student in the graduating class went to college.

Papa chicken, Great list. thanks for sharing..where is Hotchkiss?. DO you have it?

Papa chichen, I do not see hotchkiss in your listings at all. Yet Hotchkiss is one of the feeder schools. Please explain where it ranks according to your system.

Jaqueline-- if you search the thread, you'll see the references to Hotchkiss.....tied for #4 feeder if I recall. Here's its first posting on matriculation stats:

Papa chicken: Very impressed with your method of ranking and detail. Thank you. How about this: can you come up with a percentage to say what chance do you have to go to an Ivy leage if you go to such and such school. Say...Andover 50%, Hotchkiss 50%, Choate 40%, etc. (these are just examples).

Are the ivy leagues admissions getting less kids these years from the prep schools or is it just my impression?

Jaqueline-- regarding your idea in post 374, as I started this thread way back when just posting Top 20 lists, I didn't save complete matriculation lists for all schools, although I have many. Therefore, I can't calculate an absolute percentage of Ivy, for instance, per school, just in the top 20 as I've done for Ivy + Stanford + MIT + SWAP (Swath, Williams, Amherst & Pomona).

& I agree that these high schools IN GENERAL are placing fewer at Ivies or other elites as the years march forward. Haven't done an anaylysis of this, but this is my impression after reading hundreds of cumulative versus newly posted 2004 or 2005 matriculation stats.

Papa Chicken,
Do you have a list of the 2006 college admissions for the founders league?
(Andover, Exeter, Deerfiled, Hotchkiss, St. Paul, Choate and Groton. - Perhaps include Taft too)

Jaqueline-- largely what has been posted on this thread is what's available via each school's web page. We've had a few "insiders" post their schools data, which has not been available to the general public.

So, the answer is NO to your question for 2 reasons: (1) some of the schools you note above do not post their matriculation data on the web for all to see (Taft comes to mind), and (2) 2006 data will generally not be posted until this summer or next fall (if you mean class of 2006) for even the most communicative HS's (some are a year or 2 behind).

Suggest you use the thread search tool to find the posts for the schools you are curious about. I recall that most are posted; a back door to a newsletter posting for Exeter's matriculation list is now closed, and as I mentioned, I recall that Taft's info is nowhere to be found on their web. Or just go to each school's web page & start hunting for their matriculation list, often in the college couseling section.

Here's an example for Andover (a data-rich site):
http://www.andover.edu/cco/matrics/default.asp
this was 3 clicks into their main page via the college counseling section.
