Top 20 schools with reasonable transfer acceptance rates

dang that sucks. Like I said earlier, I get all my info from US News but that's usually a year old, so if your info is from the school, it's probably right. But are you sure it was that low - that's like, 10%...

"...but there were complaints, so I wouldn't be surprised if it went back up again."

Claysoul, do you think this will make a difference? Doesn't admissions and enrollment set the number of freshmen and transfers?

i highly doubt complaints are going to make the transfer rate go back up at brown.

how about Boston College, Tufts, and Umich-Ann arbor

chapel hill??? heard has a high transfer rate?

Jmerc -- Tufts' transfer admit rate for people applying to start at Tufts this fall was 10% (<a href="http://admissions.tufts.edu/?pid=113)%5B/url%5D">http://admissions.tufts.edu/?pid=113)</a>.</p>

anyone else?

umm lolabelle ur link doesn't work

Northwestern, Emory, Gtown, UNC-CH, Michigan, UCLA, WUStl, Cal.

ut austin trust me...wait there ranked 47

BC is pretty hard to transfer into, the rate was less than 10% last year. its a good thing that i already go there and i want to transfer out haha

UT is somewhat easy to transfer into - but it is a state school, so I wouldn't use it as your safety if you're OOS and coming from another CC. It's more of a safety for in-state CC students with good GPAs/etc.

Iwanatransfer:

Don't know why the link doesn't work for you. Go to Tufts Admissions' website, and click on Transfer Students, and you'll find that number -- 10% acceptance rate for transfers -- there.

You used a great argumentative tactic in the other thread: you didn't want to digress too much, so you made your argument and refused to go further. Of course, I couldn't rebut, since I didn't want to perpetuate the digression; however, my refusal to continue our argument doesn't validate and make into doctrine your spurious arguments regarding the selectivity of Tufts. Try to recognize this, and try actually to discuss this with the person who is disputing this with you before you generate gospel from your frivolous dogmas.

What is so dogmatic about letting someone know that the acceptance rate for transfers at Tufts is 10%? Jmerc asked what the transfer acceptance rate at Tufts was. I found the information for him; the end.

I don't think I even want to know what happened. But this is a fact: Tufts is extremely selective. End.

thanks lolabelle

thanks lolabelle. i also would like to know the transfer rate for Syracuse University

The most recent stat I could find (fall 2004) was 62%.
