I would say:
- Stanford
- Notre Dame
- Michigan
- Texas
- UCLA
- USC
- Duke
- North Carolina
- Wisconsin
- Virginia

I would say:

Eh?

Vandy is usuall pretty good at BB and their FB program seems to be on the rise w/ its best recruiting class ever (thanks to some killer new FB facilities).

Northwestern is the only school of the 4 that has gone to the postseason in FB and BB for the past 4 years in a row.

As for academics, while Duke, overall, is top tier; for it’s revenue sports, the academic requirements for its recruits is closer to that of state schools than Northwestern or Stanford (we’re talking BB players w/ 18 ACT scores and 1/3 of the FB team only needing to meet the minimum NCCA requirements).

Stanford generally has kept its academic standards for recruits up, but ever since Harbaugh was coach of the FB team, Stanford has played an ugly game w/ FB recruits - rejecting lower rated FB recruits for “academics” (when they clearly had the academics) so that there would be slots available for higher rated recruits (often w/ lower academics); frankly, this type of practice stinks of the SEC.

Very nice!! But why 2009-2010 season not the more recent 2010-2011 season, in which TOSU finished as #2 in the nation!? Well, with Gordon Gee at the helm in terms of academics, Urban Meyer coaching the football and Thad Matta for basketball, I see tOSU move into the Top-10 if not Top-5 academic sport college by decade end. :D

Do you have any real evidence for this? Even under Harbaugh, Stanford’s players still do well in the All-Academic Teams.

Stanford and Duke for national universities. Holy Cross, Davidson, Williams, and Amherst for LAC’s.

For private: Stanford, Duke, Northwestern, Vanderbilt, USC, Notre Dame, Georgetown, Wake Forest, Boston College, UMiami, and maybe Johns Hopkins (for Lax only)

For public: UCLA, Cal, Michigan, UVa, UNC, Wisconsin, UT, Washington, and Illinois

I’d say:

Stanford, Northwestern, Duke, USC, Michigan, UT Austin and UNC.
