<p>Well, hopefully the time and effort you put into your application will be visible to the admissions committee. It isn't easy to show how such things in an application, but preparing them is an art, and if you're good at it and craft them well, you can convince admissions you belong at a particular school. You can always send them additionally stuff about you as they happen or become relevant, but don't flood the admissions office with useless garbage either.</p>
