Also, I take the most rigorous classes available.

Also applying to:

Northwestern, JHU, Penn, Duke, Cornell, Rice, UMich, Georgetown, Washington University at St. Louis, University of Chicago, Emory, UC LA, UC Berkeley, Columbia, Cooper Union

I think you're SAT2 scores might bring you down because you are applying for engineering (680 physics)
Being Asian sure doesn't help
Your SAT score of 2080 might also seem a little low compared to other applicants to those schools, but I think you have a fair chance at Washington, UofC, Emory, UCLA, and Cooper Union

Berekeley, NW, Georgetown, and UMich are reaches

And I would say Penn, Duke, Cornell, and Rice are high reaches

Overall, your gpa is great, but your sats and physics sat 2 are a bit low. Your ECs also look pretty solid:

Northwestern - somewhat low reach
JHU - reach (very competitive RD)
Penn - high reach
Duke - reach
Cornell - low reach
Rice - reach
UMich - high match
Georgetown - low reach
Washington University at St. Louis - reach
University of Chicago - reach
Emory - low reach
UCLA - low reach
UC - match
Berkeley - low reach
Columbia - reach
Cooper Union - low reach

U never know dude I had someone in my school who does FBLA Shes our President its a business club if u didnt know... she got into Whartons at UPENN with 1860 SAT AND 28 ACT but she was a minority spanish!

solid GPA and ECs, assuming you're essay and recs are stellar like you say, then you have a good shot at all the schools you've listed. Northwestern, JHU, Penn, Duke and Cornell will be your hardest, but a very good chance at at least two or three, if not more. Good Luck!

Great GPA, knowing the UW would be nice, but assuming that it's very high due to your rank. Most rigorous courseload is always impressive, and EC's are nice. Now onto the negative. Tests scores are low, most notably SAT I and Physics, but for schools that only accept two Subject Tests, you should be fine. You have a decent hook as a first gen. college student that should help you a little bit. Even still, I pray that you have some safeties.

Northwestern- Low reach
JHU- Low reach
Penn- Reach
Duke- Reach
Cornell- Low reach
Rice- Reach
UMich- Match
Georgetown- Low reach/reach
WashU- Reach
UChicago- Reach
Emory- High match
UCLA- High match/low reach
UCB- ^^^
Columbia- High reach
Cooper Union- Low reach

I think you have a legit shot everywhere because of your first generation status but I wouldn't bank on Penn, Duke or Cornell. Your ECs are somewhat scattered, but if you have a passion for all of them then they should be fine.

Great GPA. Good SAT scores, could be better, but still solid.

Northwestern-match
JHU- match
Penn- reach (for everyone)
Duke- reach (for everyone)
Cornell- low reach
Rice- low reach
UMich- in
Georgetown- low reach
Washington University at St. Louis- low reach
University of Chicago- reach
Emory- match
UCLA- match
UC Berkeley- match/ low reach
Columbia- reach
Cooper Union - not familiar with this school

you have a good chance of getting into northwestern, JHU, Duke, Gtown, Emory, UCLA and Cooper union. the others are reaches, but your stats are exemplary so i think youll do fine wherever you apply

Northwestern - high match
JHU - reach
Penn - high reach (everyone is)
Duke - high reach (everyone is)
Cornell - low reach
Rice - low reach
UMich - high match
Georgetown - low reach
Washington University at St. Louis - reach

Cooper Union - low reach

lol.

There's something utterly ridiculous and irrational about that statement. Unfortunately, 99.9% of the kids who use this site simply refuse to see it.
