Top Engineering Schools

I just want to know which are the best 10 Universities for Engineering(both Public and Private),i know about the USNEWS list ,but i dont think that is accurate.

Any Help will be appreciated...

I am interested in Computer Engineering in case you have a specific list, but general engineering will be fine as well.

Comp Engineering…
In no particular order, some off the top of my head

Carnegie Mellon (Carnegie IT)
MIT
Caltech
Stanford

Another list:
[Undergraduate Engineering Specialties: Computer - Best Colleges - Education - US News](http://colleges.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-colleges/spec-doct-computer)

Definitely look at Cornell

My opinion is that the best engineering colleges are those that offer degrees beyond a BS and ideally beyond an MS. This means that undergraduates have the opportunity to be taught by professors who are current with the state of the art and who often work with industry. It also opens the opportunity to take “graduate” level courses in senior year for strong undergraduate students, and make contacts with industry when applying for an intern and later for a first job easier than it would be at other collegs.

The list of top “10” varies by discipline. I looked an US News list for Electrical and Electronic Engineering. It’s pretty accurate (based on what recruiters in top high tech companies would think). To the list I would add University of Texas Austin and push one of the listed schools a notch down.

I then looked at the list for Computer Engineering. That list is pretty accurate. I would be inclined to add Brown University and University of Wisconsin Madison, and push one or two of the listed colleges down a notch.

I’m less knowledgeable about some of the other disciplines, but here too I think the USNews list is pretty accurate.
