top hope or not top hope?

I'm currently a senior in high school. College applications are coming up and im getting pretty nervous. I'm really hoping to get into UCLA, UCSD, or UC Davis and would be so happy and satisfied to receive an acceptance letter from one of those colleges.

The problem is...my GPA
unweighted: 3.5
weighted: 4.0

My SAT score doesn't make the picture any better, but i will be submitting my ACT score: 30.

However, I have pretty decent EC's:

200+ hours of community service, which is all health related
I have leadership roles in 2 clubs, and i found a club as well.
I also found a business a summer ago that i continue with my friends.

Not too many EC's, but the ones i do have, i am very passionate about and they all are come how connected with health. [You guys probably figures out that i'm hoping to major in bio]

So what do you guys think? Good match? Reach?

Please give me your HONEST opinion. It may hurt, but i can take it and i wont hate you. :)

HHAHHAA wow. my title: “top hope or not top hope”. Major typo, its supposed to be “to hope or not to hope”.

I looked back at your posts to see if you were in-state. Is your GPA your UC GPA? That’s just the a-g requirements, counting grades for your sophomore and junior year only. Also, you’ll only be able to weight 8 semester courses, regardless of how many AP and honors courses you’ve taken.

Talk to your school’s college counselor to see how students from your school and with your stats did last year at the three UCs you mention. UCLA is definitely a reach. Davis used to be a safety, but last year’s admissions decisions were far more selective. Many students at my older daughter’s school, where Davis was a well-established safety, were unpleasantly surprised when decisions came out last year. Your school might have had different results, but you’ll need to ask your counselor.
