Do we lose that little uppeharnd tomrorow?

Why would we?
I hope not...

I've just been hearing that everywhere....

I haven't heard anything like this.

And, on a side note:
**** the ut B essay. **** it to hell. this is the only thing keeping me from finishing my application. ****.

I agree, calizoso... that essay prompt is uber lame
I almost want to just put for my entire essay "alaskan native" and submit it.

haha i agree with calizoso and breadandbutter07. i pretty much want to shoot myself in the face right now because it's that annoying.

I've written essay A, but mine's not nearly as long as the amount of space they give us ... is that ok?

Mine's just barely over two pages, double-spaced. My B essay will probably be 3/4 of a page.

I like the alaskan native though. Maybe I should just put "disabled gay lesbian cherokee native american with a lazy eye"

That second essay, I've been beating my head against. So many of my friends just made up stuff and lied all over it. It's not that it's a difficult prompt, it's just so lame.

It's lamer than TAKS prompts. And I'm procrastinating by *****ing about it on cc.

I think I'll just write about someone I have learned a lot from, and make it sound like we haven't met yet... so what if it's sort of lying...

Just fyi, what the admissions people are wanting to hear from the "B" essay is a reflection of you, not some fictitious person. There has been some discussion about changing B because they know that they are getting lame essays, basically B.s. because of the topic. Try to think outside the box- don't just talk about some "disabled gay lesbian cherokke ---" Talk about how being around that person might change YOU and what you might take from a relationship with said person.

Does that make sense?

Haha that essay is HORRIBLE! i remember reading it a few years back when my brother was applying and thinking...how horrible! it's still there. its also the only thing that i have yet to complete to finish my application.

bah!

I hated it at first too, but now I love it. =)
First I was like whaaaaat why would they want you to describe someone you haven't met yet, that's basically just lying and making up a story lol

But now it's all good...

It's a horrible topic. End of story. I will write something this weekend and just submit it. I just have no idea what to say...
