For 2006, the list changed slightly. Among the changes:

Indiana University is alone at #11

Tied at 12 to 17 are: Cornell University 3.9
Purdue University-West Lafayette (Krannert) 3.9
University of Illinois-Urbana-Champaign 3.9
University of Minnesota-Twin Cities 3.9
University of Wisconsin - Madison 3.9
Washington University at St. Louis 3.9

Penn State moved up to tie at 18, and
Bentley College moved up to tie at 47

Since I considered Indiana, Bentley, and Penn State as ranked too low, I guess this corrects that a bit.

Calcruzer:
I have been all over for the 2006 list and can't find it. Can you tell me where Univerty of Colroado Boulder (Leeds) and University of Denver (Daniels) are ranked? I need to decide between the two soon. Thanks!

Can anyone please help me. I need to know where Fairfield University (Dolan) in CT and Villanova University rank; in Undergraduate business or even in general. Thank You!!

p.s. or if anyone has any info about the two schools, please!

Villanova is ranked 104 and Fairfield doesn't make the Top 125 schools. If you're deciding between the two I recommend Villanova. They have some good recruiting stats compared to Fairfield. GS and other top firms recruit from there. Its not a high number, but they still recruit more than Fairfield.

Bentley is ranked 47th. It will move higher and probably into the top 40 or 35 by next year or year after. Don't look at the rankings. Instead look at what firms recruit at these schools and how many students they take.

You will see that a lot of the top schools such as Wharton etc... get many students recruited into many of the top ibanks, etc...

However, there are some schools out there such as Bentley and Villanova that get their students recruited by many top notch firms but are ranked lower than one might expect.

Thus the subjectivity of such a ranking system

my question is how MIT, Carngie Mellon, and etc. are good undergrad business programs. since last i checked on collegeboard.com, MIT only had 1 bsuiness major?

my question is, anyone know how Loyola University of Chicago is ranked. Do they go past 120, or is that the lowest??

Cause I'm deciding between there and Univ. Of Illinois(Champaign), and I already know how high their business school is ranked. I'm not in their business school, but got into another part of their school(ACES) and right now put my major down as Economics/Finance, which is business related.

Definetly go to U of I. If you maintain decent grades, you can transfer into the b-school. Or just get your degree in economics. Either way, you're better off down there.

I live in MI, but with my stats LS&A is a reach (michigan grading system). Ideally I would get into LS&A mich, and transfer to Ross, which would be better than emory or UIUC.

I want to ED at emory, but i'm not sure anymore. Because if I get into mich by some stroke of luck.....

if you are going to be waiting to transfer into the business program, you might as well try uMich. the trick to getting into Michigan is applying early(rolling admisisons). Apply in August and make sure you get a recommendation letter before the beginning of summer. Mail your stuff in by the end of August or early September and then when school opens send in the transcript and everything. If you apply early you should be able to get in.

UMich accepts applications in August? That's cool. Then while everyone else is tearing their hair out, you might already have an acceptance even before October.
