Topic for Hotel School Essay?

<p>I'm having a lot of trouble picking a topic for this essay. I have done a lot of service, as a volunteer in my community, an employee at 2 full service hotels, and as a friend/random person but I can't determine what topic best shows the type of service Cornell would be impressed by (in regards to the hospitality industry).</p>

<p>So here are the topics I am considering (additional recommendations are welcome):</p>

<pre><code> 1) Helping my best friend (and later girlfriend) recover from very serious eating disorders
2) Giving a random crying stranger a ride to her house after she knocked on the window of my car in a restaurant parking lot. (she had a fight with her husband and he left her there. we got to talking and her daughter works for the same hotel company as me, so maybe through that i can tie in my hospitality experience...)
3) Some time I provided excellent service to someone while I was working at a hotel (wont be anything more extraordinary then you would expect from any hotel employee, just because the opportunity has never presented itself)

<p>Please let me know which topic you think will most effectively portray my passion for service.</p>

<p>I would do either #2 or #3. I would elaborate, but i am pressed for time. I will be on this forum again soon though. :)</p>

<p>It seems as if number three is a topic that many applicants choose to write about, so if you don't have anything super spectacular that you did while working at a hotel, you should strive to have a unique essay. and i think number 2 is a good choice for it.</p>
