I'm taking some courses that are tough to stay awake and keep interested in. The problem was that I heard good reviews from others about the classes, but I was hit unexpectedly by how annoying the course just seems to be. Any words of advice to help me get through this?

I know this happens once in a while and I just wanted to know how others have handled it

i would say:

1) ask questions--questions that get the class involved, and the prof interested.
2) sit closer to the front.
3) drink a gallon of coffee on your way to class.
4) Think of it as intellectually valuable, and not just another prereq.

Sorry if this doesn't help too much.

bring your lap top and go on cc all class ;-)
