I would like to become a tour guide. I want to do it because it seems interesting, but I am also wondering if it is something one would put on a resume. Thanks.

Of course it would be something that you would put on your resume! Besides for being able to serve as a "public face" for a large institution, it shows that you have good interpersonal communication skills and have a knack for being able to walk backwards.

how much are tour guides paid?

i'm surprised cornell doesnt use one of those airport shuttle type vehicles given the size of the campus...what accommodations are available for parents who might not be able to make the trek on foot?

7.50 an hour. is it a hard and/or desired job on campus?

only 7.50!? i never took the official tour (had the DHW experience) but certainly those student tour guides are worth more than 7.50 an hour?! maybe $10 hopefully $20 an hour..!

Haha thats a good one, Resurgam: A school paying a student close to $20 an hour..

What's great is hearing the tour guides say the SAME things over and over if your schedule walks you by them...

"You've probably heard some terms invented by him while he was here at Cornell, for instance, the term "p0wer NAP!1!!!1" was ...blah blah blah"
