Tourette syndrome and OCD in personal essay

So I have just started working on my main common application essay, and I was wondering if writing about my tourette syndrome and OCD is a good idea?

I am an international student and I have had absolutely no advantages because of my T.S. In the essay I will probably write about the challenges I had to overcome, the biggest one of these was not even knowing what the problem was until only two years ago because in my country hardly 1% of the people would know what T.S is. Other challenges included facing my parents, bullies at school, self-diagnosis, and then researching and developing ways to control my symptoms. I will also write about how I used OCD to my advantage.

Please keep in mind that I will be applying to top universities, including the Ivys.

Thanks in advance :D

yeah I think that is a good idea since they do want to know about you. Like writing about TS and how you overcame that and how it is changed you/made you the person you are today.

Goodluck.

this idea has the potential to be a good essay
feel free to pm drafts

Thanks, guys.
