So, I have already talked to Yale’s admissions officers at least 100 times. Basically, I had like a 2.0 in high school. I was constantly on a business venture, my parents died, and I was struggling with my sexual identity in a conservative town.
That is my back story, however I have been at a community college now for 3 semesters. (Summer, fall, spring) I am wanting to transfer to Yale. I have visited the campus a dozen times and love it there. I am planning to retake my SAT’s and stuff but I was wondering if there is anyone out there who successfully transferred to Yale? Maybe not a community college but just in general.
My goal is to be in politics, and who knows maybe run for President. I don’t have a lot of “Community Service” per say but I do go to my local jail a few times a week and talk to the guys about my life and how I have overcome my failures. I have done this for 3 years now. This is just something that has been important to me. (My parents were always in jail. This is why I have that connection with the guys who are there)
Any suggestions on what I should do?
Also, I have a 4.0 in my community college, and honors classes. I maxed out my colleges curriculum in two semesters.
