Hi, I was thinking of applying to Oberlin, Wesleyan, and Reed, but before I do, I wanted to get a sense of the transgender communities there. I know all of them are pretty accepting of LGB people but I haven’t seen much on trans or nonbinary people; how many trans and nonbinary people go? And how accepted are they? Do people use they/them pronouns correctly? Thanks!
All three are excellent!
From our interactions with Oberlin, we found that students and faculty are very attuned to pronoun usage. I don’t have specific experience with Wesleyan and Reed students but would imagine they are similar to Oberlin in that regard.
