Transcript Cutoffs

I guess there's no definitive answer but would it absolutely kill my chances if I've gotten a few questionable grades?

Namely, a B in math junior year, even if it was an accelerated, two-years-in-one course?

Also had a B+ on my high school transcript from taking French II in 8th grade at the high school but that probably won't make much difference, will it?

Is Columbia expecting straight A's or is there some leniency with the level and quantity of harder classes?

i don't have straight A's. But i probably won't get in.

A bad class or two isn't going to kill you. Straight A's less one random C is clearly better than a mix of A's, A-'s, B+'s.

Would a higher SAT or SAT II grade in math help in taking the focus off the B on my transcript? (Likewise would a bad grade in either affect the credibility of the other?)
