Will My Transcript ruin my chances?

Recently, report cards came out and some grades I'm happy with but some I'm not too pleased with AT ALL!!!

So of course college came into mind and I figured out that for some of my classes, I can still pull of a 90 final average while some might now be in the 80's.

But as for AP stat, even though I have been doing well recently, some of my low test grades killed my average and now I might end up with a 78 final average even I ace the last quarter and the final exam due to my earlier slacking.

But my question is, will this mix of A's, B's, and C's on my transcript junior year kill my chances for getting into colleges such as BU, NYU, Hartwick, Pace, and ALL Ivies even if have a high GPA regardless and everything else is awesome (great EC's, SAT scores, recs and essay)

No problem St Hartwick and Pace, not the biggest deal at BU and NYU, major problem at ivies.

bump! Any other opinions?

I agree with waverly. Even though the ivies don’t necessarily require a perfect GPA, a C in stat could hurt your chances. I think it depends on your major though. If you’re going into something like English stat grades won’t hurt as much as if you wanted to do something with stat. Your major and corresponding course grades matter more at universities where you apply to a specific college/major as well. Just something to think about.

The problem is that most Ivy applicants will have high test scores, good recs, etc, along with a 4.0, so a GPA lower than that certainly won’t help you.
