Transcript Question

I have a C on my transcript for Physics I and also a C+ for Chemistry II. The remainder of my science classes have all been in the B range, and my math/other grades have all been A's or A-'s. I go to the University of Pennsylvania. Is hope for getting into a good medical school lost? In particular, I'd really like to go to NYU :( I'm optimistic that my science grades will go up during the next 5 semesters, but is the possibility even there?

Well, what will your grades go up to? 3.3? 3.6?

I currently have a 3.4 overall GPA. I'm looking to get an overall GPA of 3.6-7 by the time I graduate. However, my BCMP GPA is much lower. Any idea around what range the BCMP needs to be?

It may be hard to get up to a 3.6 - 3.7 over all. My sophomore daughter has mostly As a few Bs and 2 Cs (the dreaded organic chem and a micro class). She will need pretty much straight As, maybe 1-2 Bs, from here on to pull out a 3.7 by the time she graduates. Those Cs are real GPA killers.
