Parents,

Excuse the question, if the answer is obvious. This is our first Senior, so it is all new to us.

Does the "transcript" that gets sent to colleges and scholarship entities, have to be in any special format?

Does it need to be signed by the counselor.?
Does it need to have some official school stamp on it?

The transcripts that we have received along the way (after his Frosh, Soph, and Junior years) have been school printouts, with the list of classes, grades, GPA, etc.

We are applying for a few scholarships. One of them is asking for a copy of the "transcript".

My son went to the office to get the latest transcript (with the 1st semester Senior grades). They have it, and printed it.

However, the woman in the office was asking my son "does it need to be signed, or stamped".

Since this is our first time to this point in the process, I don't know the answer.

Any thoughts?

thanks much.
