You can request an extension. I called the office in the middle of my vacation to request an extension and got it.

it's funny because in one of my several e-mails to my admissions officer, i said "i was wondering if i could request an extension, seeing that it hasn't gotten there yet". she pretty much ignored the question and just answered my e-mail by telling me to call the school and check with the offices once more. i dont think this woman reads.

i dont even know if i could ask for an extension at this point, since it's down to the "10 day" wire. if this transcript gets to my house within the next few days, then i really don't have much to worry about, since it doesn't need to be there until the second of august. unless of course cal looses the second one i send. or if the transcript never comes due to lack of employees at the school.

ah well. thanks for the advice. im going to try to ask for an extension anyway.

<3,

Izzie Bear

Well, i just checked, and i'm in the clear. Izzie, keep us posted on your situation!

how'd you check DRab? on the website?

Yes, i checked on the website. Although they got it on the 14th or 15th, the website changed today, at least 6 days later.

hmmm...no change on my website, my IB scores are still missing and they are all 5 and higher...did someone say there was a number to call?

Help me! :)

hmmm...the IB number the "terms" list gives is bogus. grrr. I would like to find out about now if everything is ok.

One think i don't like about Berkeley thus far- they make finding numbers on the website near impossible.

The mailman just brought my transcript! I will be sending it to Berkeley overnight. Let's hope Berkeley doesn't loose it this time!

<3,

Izzie Bear

that's good to hear IzzieBear, they better not give you too much trouble. :)

I still can't find contact info for my Counselor, only an address to send "transcripts or correspondence"...help?

Hm...Log in to MyBerkeleyApp, then choose the option "checklist". then click on "conditions of admission". This should be at the very bottom:

If you have questions or cannot meet the conditions listed above, immediately contact your admissions officer.

Their name, e-mail, and phone number should be listed below.

<3,

Izzie Bear

this is all I have on the bottom of my "conditions of admission" page:

Does anyone have a generic phone number...? I'll take anything about now :(

For general inquiries about the campus, call (510) 642-6000.

thanks, DRab :) , I guess I'll try to get through to admissions through it.

Called the general number, apparently Admissions Office closes at 4! Anyway, the number for the Admissions office is (510) 642-3175, in case anyone was wondering. I'm done with thinking about this until tomorrow!

You're welcome. Remember, du calme! :)

Called admissions office earlier today, and just as i suspected, the didn't receive my 2004 AP scores. Stupid college board works on EST, so I missed the office hour. Emailed college board and goign to call for a resend of AP scores tomorrow.

on hold with admissions office...I'm #3, the music is rather bizarre...

grrr...they haven't received my IB scores, the counselor wasn't very helpful. I asked him if I could have a date in which to have them there by, and he's like by the deadline...um, ok, guess not. Prolly sick of all of us calling!
