Transcripts from all secondary school?

I'm an Int'l student living in US. On the website, I saw that you need transcripts from all secondary school attended. I'm just wondering, do you need to call every high school you attended and ask them to send your grades? I attended freshmen year in a Canadian school but already transferred all my grades to the current school in US which I've been attending for 3 years. Also, they only give space for one high school on their online application(which I put my current high school), is this normal?

If I do, that will be a pain because I doubt they would still have my record since I already transferred out. And since that school is one of the worst HS in the whole province( seriously), I doubt they will send those stuff out on time and not forget about it.

Another question, is there a counselors form? I searched and there wasn't any showing up so I guess no?

Also, I sent my ACT today. Since ACT is located in Iowa city, does that mean the college will receive it really fast? Thanks for responses( if any)…

Given the number of questions you have, I suggest calling or e-mailing the UI admissions office to get clarifications – I have found all of the administrative offices to be very responsive and helpful.

Make sure to verify this, but I believe you can submit a transcript from your current HS for now if it includes all your grades, but UI will probably require a formal transcript from every high school you’ve attended before you register.

By the way, even for the worst of high schools, I would expect that if you contact them, they will still be able to provide you with your transcript.

Finally, the ACT scores should get to Iowa quickly, either via mail or electronically.

Good luck!

Thanks for reply. Anyways, the International online application only give me space to fill out one high school, how do they know I ever attended another?

I just took a quick look at the international application. From what I can tell, it appears to me that they only want your transcript from the high school you are graduating from (they must assume that all grades from others high schools are reflected on that transcript). When our D filled out her Iowa application, she also had classes from another HS, and I do not remember her needing to send a transcript from that other HS for Iowa (some colleges requested all HS transcripts, some only the HS transcript where she was currently attending/graduating from).

I do not see this an issue as long as your current HS has all your previous HS work listed.

Iowa does expect you to send a separate transcript for any college classes you have taken.

All this is my interpretation only, but it is consistent with what you have observed.

Thank you. I asked one of the counselors in my school today and she also said she doesn’t think I need to. I am just gonna send the transcript from current HS with all the grades on.
