Working on an application with S2 and it looks like you self report everything and then follow up with official transcripts after graduation. Seems odd to me, especially since S1 applied two years ago and used NCWISE to send grades electronically. So I guess that Powerschool does not support this like NCWISE did. Is S2 missing something?

I applied to NC State and submitted my application a few days ago. What I did was go to cfnc.org , created a profile, entered my name, school and student ID, and then went to something on the site called the “transcript manager” (if you need help finding it, first click “apply”, then click “apply to college”, and it should be the second option down), and from there I requested my transcript be sent to NC State. This is what we were advised to do during a seminar at our school. As long as you have your name, student ID, and school name on there they will get your transcript within a few days (although it may take a few weeks to process.) Good luck!! Let me know if it works.

Did you go through all the tedium of entering each class in the NCSU application?

I did. It took me about 10 minutes. It said that your transcript wouldn’t be a substitute for this portion, so I think it may be required (I may be wrong). It’s not as tedious as it appears, but I found it pretty pointless (because your transcript should list all the courses…). Anyway, I hope you figured out how to send his transcript! Let’s hope both your son and me get in!

my daughter had to do the same thing - also with University of South Carolina. I think it may be due to the technical problems with powerschool over the last couple of years. We just scanned a copy that the counseling department gave her. Seemed weird to me, too - but they did say they will ask for an official transcript once you are accepted.
