<p>I have a few questions about</p>

<li>I was wondering I'm using the universal application to apply to Duke University and it askes for a school report, midyear report, and final report. I'll be done with my last year of highschool next July and then I'm sending everything off. Anyeay I was wonering what was needed for each report as in what to have the counsellor put on them (she wanted me to explain as we're in England so it's a bit new-I'm a US citizen). what time of year should the school report have on it, what time of year should the midyear one be filled out? </li>

<p>2.I was also wondering if any thing should be sent with the school and mid year report (transcript)?</p>

<p>3.And I know this sounds stupid but what exactly is a transcript (what's in it exactly)?</p>

<p>A transcript is the academic record from your high school (or college). </p>

<p>It may vary from school to school, but my sons’ school transcripts have

  • the classes taken each semester/year and the grade earned
  • a listing of the current classes being taken
  • total number of credits earned to date
  • a “checklist” of classes taken vs classes needed for graduation
  • class rank
  • quartile that the rank puts the student in (Q1, Q2, etc)
  • the grading scale (including weights)
  • a record of all AP, SAT, SAT and state test results
  • complete immunization record </p>

<p>The school also sends along a school profile - which gives detailed info about the school/district.</p>
