Hey I have a question about transcripts at cal poly. I applied early decision and I am wondering if I have to send in my transcripts by the October deadline in order to be considered for acceptance, or do they just look at what you put on the application then I send the transcripts in later?

yeah wait till later. I emailed the admissions dept. and they said that they will ask for transcripts later on in the selection process

So type in your grades accurately.

Alright thats what I thought.

Yeah I made sure they were exactly as they appear on my transcript.

The admission guy seemed really good, at least what I got out of him through emails. I forgot to add my 8th grade algebra 1 grades and I wanted a change of major after I submitted my app. He gladly changed it for me in like 5 minutes.

Good to hear. Yeah I had to send in a change request email for some SAT scores I entered improperly. I sent it in like the directions said but I havent gotten anything back yet confirming the change, ill give em a few more days then call em.

When you say you emailed them, are you talking about the online chat on their website or actual e-mails?

actual email

This is the dude’s email: jmcdon01@calpoly.edu

He’s the head admission officer guy.

He’s probably off on the weekend so you’ll hear back on Monday.

should i have sent my weighted grades?

like 88 = A for an honors course,
or 87 = A for an AP?
