Accepted!! AHH, i have no idea what to do!

Accepted! Still in shock…

Is anyone worried about the transition at Wellesley? I mean, there is no question about its academic and reputation, but the overall vibe concerns me. I got in both Wesleyan and Wellesley, while “laid back” and “relaxed” is often used for Wesleyan, “competitiveness” and “stressed” are often seen in students’ comments.

Can the people who were accepted post their stats? I may want to try again next time

thatas what i am worried about too, but ive heard that although Wellesley is competitive it isnt cutthroat like at other universities. I am just worried about making friends and the social transition

@helloccforum @Dlkny321 Wellesley students are certainly driven and high-achieving, but the campus culture is very welcoming, supportive, and encouraging of each other. The Admissions Office practices a holistic admissions process with a focus on admitting women that will fit in the Wellesley culture and thrive.

Congratulations on your acceptance! Consider this a vote of confidence from the members of the Admissions office that you have what it takes to make the social transition and be successful. Many women with stellar quantifiable metrics (e.g. GPA, test scores) are not admitted due to reservations about their fit with the Wellesley culture.

Good luck!

I was a transfer student at Wellesley. My advice is to be very proactive about your social life. Join orgs right away, volunteer with different student groups, etc. It’s tough missing out on that first year of bonding, but it’s definitely not impossible to still have a great social experience. There’s a list of student-run organizations on the website.

I was accepted! I applied through the Davis Degree Program. I am in cc in NY. 3.96 GPA. 34 credits. Trilingual. Latina.

Did anyone receive the financial aid package?

Are there any previous transfer students who are willing to contact me about some concerns? Like through email?

@magtf1 @WendyWellesley13 Thank you for the input! They are really helpful!

@Dlkny321 I’d be happy to talk with you. Send me a private message.
