Transfer 2019 low GPA question

Okay guys I’m freaking out need advice!
Current GPA-2.87 I know it’s v bad
Completed IGETC
Completed all courses taking physics and organic chemistry last part and applied for biological science major at UC Davis, Irvine, Berkeley and riverside.
I basically wasn’t able to study as much as I wish I could’ve past few years were a roller coaster I’m wondering if I would get into any of these school with my current GPA or if I were to get rejected from all would I be able re apply next year if I take some more classes at Community college or would I be looked down as a looser who took easy classes to boast up GPA next year around any advice would help or if someone has been in my shoes before, tysm!

You can check your major to see what the average GPA is at the schools you applied to.

I’d say that you have a chance at Riverside but not any of the others. On your question about taking more courses to boost GPA, I’d speak with a counselor at your CC. There is a possible danger of taking too many credits but I am not sure where that cut off is and exactly how many credits you have.

Was it possible to TAG bio at Riverside?

@HeyItsNick i currently have 79 credits and it will 90 once i am done with spring semester

@Ohm888 never checked i checked for TAG @ davis and they required it to be 3.20 for bio majors

Fingers crossed for riverside i am thinking if i don’t get in any of those is there an appeal that i can also would it be wiser to take some more courses in fall and raise gpa for tag? @Ohm888 @HeyItsNick

An appeal won’t work. Best to build up GPA and apply next fall.

@Ohm888 did you happen to know by any chance whats the cut off for credits when it comes to UC davis? tysm

80 semester but that only applies if you have upper division units from a 4-year, or courses from a UC. If you just went to a CCC or they are lower division from anywhere (except a UC), you can have hundreds but they will only transfer 70. Any upper division, and all UC units are added on top of the lower division final count, which tops at 70.

Example:
CCC - 90 semester units (lowered to 70)
Upper division - 5 semester units
UC, upper or lower - 4 semester units
Total: 79

Example:
CCC - 60 units
CSU, lower division -12 units
Total lower division: 72 (lowered to 70)
CSU, upper division - 6 units
Total: 76
