I am currently at an out of state community college with a 3.1 GPA. I applied as a material engineering major. What are my chances of getting in? By the way I have completed many honors courses and more than enough math for this major.

Sorry to say this, but your chances are pretty much zero. Their minimum requirements must be met (3.3 GPA overall and 3.3 in math/science, for out of state) in order to get your application considered. Spend another semester or two at your school and work your butt off and you can pull that GPA up.

If I got rejected would an appeal work since I’m in an honors program?
