Congratulations JLovell!

Seems to me that not too many transfer students applied (or got accepted) to BU due to the low number of responses to this thread?

Or are decisions still being mailed out? ANYONE NOT HEAR BACK YET?

Congratulations JLovell!

Seems to me that not too many transfer students applied (or got accepted) to BU due to the low number of responses to this thread?

Or are decisions still being mailed out? ANYONE NOT HEAR BACK YET?

I can tell you the reason so few people are replying. I called BU today because they pretty much assured me all decisions would be out by the end of May. I have been waiting anxiously each day and run to the comp first thing in the morning to check. So I call today out of concern that soemthing on my app link must be wrong. They tell me decisions will be coming out steadily over the next few WEEKS. I cannot believe they drag it out this long. So it isn't that few kids applied or were accepted. It is just that BU is taking forever to get their decisions out.

I really doubt it will take them a "few more weeks". I called in and got the same response from some lady. I am so tempted to ask someone else since I am sure we will get a more realistic response.

And do you really think BU must be having many applications left to review or finalize on a date like May 31st? I don't get what the deal is.
Want to try calling again?

Okay, so after doing a little research, it seems like decisions are usually posted on Monday afternoons. (and the last time I applied, I was accepted on a Monday as well)

Maybe tomorrow, but chances are that it is most likely going to be Monday.

I sure hope tomorrow or Monday. But by the tone I was getting from the woman in admissions, it honestly might not be for another 2 weeks. I really hope not though. I am in a summer class that would only count if I use the credits for BU. Its a redundant class for the college I currently attend. I thought BU would have given me my decisions during the refund period but now I am stuck with this thousand dollar class that is worthless if BU doesn't accept me. Plus there is no housing for transfers so we all need to start looking for places to live, whether we do it on our own or through the Office of Off Campus Housing. Regardless, the longer they make us wait, the harder this whole thing will become.

Hey applynow, I was hoping your Monday theory was right but I haven't seen anything yet. How about you?

I'm hoping for Monday too...my status says that "the review of my application is complete" does that mean anything? Maybe later this afternoon we'll hear something...

Oh I'm sure you will be hearing soon. Lucky you. Mine still says, "Our records indicate you have applied..."

If it says review of your application is complete you should definately get your decision soon, the decison isnt posted under application status it's under a new link that will say enrollment decision, the same happens for financial aid, once your package has been decided there will be a new link on the bar that states finaincial aid decision or something to that point, I don't think mine was posted on a monday, when i checked on a friday i found my decision, i wasnt checking everyday by that point though because i was sick of seeing, we have recieved your application

Devilsrule, I was counting on my theory to be correct but I guess not! haha, it says the same for me ("our records indicate you..."). I called in like an hour ago and was told that my application is still under review. Then, I asked out of curiosity whether or not admissions decisions were posted on a particular day of the week. She said, we customarily do that, but at this point, we are releasing decisions online as soon as they are made so you can get yours any time. Also, she said (as you said Devilsrule) that they still have many pending applications so no worries. Not receiving a notification as of yet, does not mean anything for BU.

I just want to knowww!! haha, i'm tired of checking my applicant status page everyday!!

Haha yeah I just started a new job at Marriott (applying to SHA at BU btw) and it involves about 15 hours of boring comp training. So I sit alone in a room and get so bored that I find myself checking my BU status pretty much every time I get tempted to click that internet explorer icon. Rough wait. Good luck to you! So what do you think about the whole no housing for transfers thing?

to be honest, i was quite surprised when I first heard about that. i would think housing would never be a problem at BU. anywho, I started thinking of alternatives at first, but decided to wait for my admissions decision first.

either way, we're going to have to find a convenient and decently-priced apartment now. i'm sure that there must be some good ones left nearby. what about you, any thoughts?

Well, I've been looking online and everything is pretty pricey, though I have found some places in some good locations. The admissions lady told me to contact the Office of Off Campus Housing if I get admitted. Same with you, getting in is the primary concern right now. You're a guy, I'm assuming (forgive me if I'm wrong) so let me know what kind of places you find online or if you find something good with an empty spot.

haha yeah i'm a guy as well. i'll definitely start looking soon, will let you know if i find something good and moderately-priced....lets hope we get some positive news sometime this week. i honestly can't wait any more than that haha..

congrats! Comm is the program i applied to...still waiting though

I just got in today! to comm, good luck to everyone still waiting!

Where did you guys transfer from?

university of delaware

ook. You didnt like UDel? Where are you from? Regardless, congrats!

they dropped my major basically, and it was too far away from home for me, my family's in cambridge, ma now
