I wanted to apply to SBU before the deadline of November 1 for Spring semester, but I have a GPA of 2.9 with 61 credits and I know the university is looking for a 3.0 with 24 credits. Is there any chance of me getting accepted to that University if I apply with a GPA of 2.9? I am also taking a course that I have failed and cureently have a B average in the class.... What do you think?

I plan on attending SBU for Psychology and hopefully transfer to John Jay for Forensic Psychology..

Wait, you want to transfer to Stony Brook and then John Jay? Why not just transfer to John Jay? You’re already a junior, so I don’t see how’d that even work because of school’s residency requirements.

If it says that you need a 3.0 to apply or be considered, then you’ll typically need a higher GPA than that to be accepted.

the admission letters are getting mailed out in november i heard, i just called them today. But yet i went on my solar account and it had all these links for me to pay my deposits and i never got my letter in the mail. So maybe check the solar account, and maybe yours would be like mine?
