In my current school, an A grade is between 70-100, while a B is between 60-69 and both grades are quite difficult to get. However, i have found that at McGill, an A is usually between 85-100. I’m seeking a transfer into McGill next year for 2nd year software engineering. Will the fact that my school has a lower grading system affect my chances?
Hmm… It depends. Transfer admissions are usually incredibly selective. Make sure you inform McGill in detail about the grading system followed by your school (if you could get your counselor to send a letter that would be even better).
