Transfer admission SDSU

Hello,

This will be an interesting question for anyone thats willing to help…

I’ve recently been admitted into SDSU for aeronautical engineering Fall 2017 as a transfer. My counsellor set-up my transfer schedule that I followed and I applied.
I have all current requirements met for admission(even 2 semesters above math req. as well as an engineering materials class) but i’m missing one specific class (Statics or Dynamics) which is not offered at my school. My counsellor said I could apply but I feel some what anxious and am now worried maybe I misunderstood instruction but…

What are the chances my admission will be revoked if it will(i might be paranoid)?

Thanks!

Congrats on getting in! I applied under Mech. Engineering for F2017 and haven’t heard anything. 4.0 but missing like 4 pre reqs… Needless to say I can’t wait for the news!
So you said that you would have either Statics or Dynamics completed but that will not be the case? I don’t know much about the issue but it seems to me that they should be more than happy to accept your money for the classes.

@UniqueGeek Good luck !! But basically I dont have statics or dyanmics completed but I have calc 1-3, differential equations, gen chem 1, physics 1 and 2, biology 1 as well as a materials engineering class. I also have every general prereq covered, I might be a bit paranoid and dont quite understand their requirements then, i just want to ensure i get in I’m very happy!!

Yeah that’s great! Congrats again. Basically they have that list (which i’m sure you’ve seen but i’ll include a link anyways) and they would desire all of the classes on that list to be completed in order to transfer as a Junior. Good luck with that!!

@UniqueGeek oh okay, yea so i misunderstood that list. Basically they want you to complete as much as you can, but its not mandatory? in my case, im missing one prereq which is the statics class. Thanks for the help

For sure! Yep they’re desired but not required.

I had two pre reqs not completed because they arent offered at my school so even if you have to call and say there is one that wont be done when you said it would doesnt sound like too big of a deal unless it is a CSU Breadth requirement like Public Speaking or English. So you’re fine, don’t worry. They only revoke if you massively screw up like not completing CSU Breadth or your GPA is significantly lower than what you reported.
