I am looking to transfer into ND as a sophomore for the 2014 fall semester. Notre Dame has been my dream school for as long as I can remember. I earned a 3.94 GPA (with 14 credits) my first semester at Loras College in Dubuque Iowa. Here are the classes I took this fall.

History Class: A (3 credits)
Freshman Seminar: A- (3 credits)
Finite Math: A (4 credits)
Biology: A (4 credits)

My Resume:
Honors Program
Honors Program Student Senator
Young Republican
Knight of Columbus

My high school did not do class ranking and I recieved a 3.5 unweighted GPA. I also recieved a 29 on the ACT.

Please Chance Me!!

Your ACT is a bit low, everything else looks good though. Make sure you plan your schedule so that the classes you take cover the classes that ND freshman take

Additionally, Im not quite sure how Loras College compares to other schools, but you’ll likely need a really high GPA to have a shot at transfering, granted your first semester looks great

Irish4life, Loras is the 11th ranked liberal arts college in the Midwest. Is it that bad of a school comparatively? Also do you think I should/could retake the ACT to try and get a better score?

I just haven’t heard of it, then again, I’m not from the midwest. Retaking the ACT will show that you care and could boost your chances.
