Transfer Admissions UPENN

just a question. I have a friend who wants to Transfer from University of Texas-Austin McCombs School of Business to UPENN College- and to the major of international studies/business. Its not in the Wharton School, but would coming from a strong undergrad like McCombs help? And it would be after a one year transfer, not two. what does penn favor in terms of the years you would bring into the school?

what else does penn look at, besides your first year stats? do they even weigh high school stuff, like SAT, GPA, rank, or is it just there for an optional reference? I know my friend is dong really well, with a near perfect GPA, and has become really active throughout the Business School.

Just let me know, so i can foward it to her!

thanks!

You can't major in business at the college. If he's planning on majoring in international studies AND business, as you implied, then he's looking into the Huntsman program, one of Penn's most difficult things to gain acceptance to (yes, harder than Wharton)

Coming from a strong school will definitely help, but I can't comment on what particulars they look at in transfer admissions
