Transfer Admit Day May 10

:( that feel when I didn’t even have the option even though I’m still ecstatic to go to LA

@randombookie I’m on the same boat. I planned to visit UCSD, UCB, and UCLA on their transfer days, but they’re all on May 10th. Berkeley is like an hour or so away so I could go on a regular day, but I don’t want to miss the Chancellor’s reception if it’s likely I’d attend Berkeley anyways. Which school are you edging towards and which school do you live closer to?

@ocnative, what do you mean, which admit day gives several locations?

@stanx89‌

Go to UCLA if you like Los Angeles so much. :D

@Cayton where are you going anyways? And tell me how to access the housing application cause that thing just collapses for me

man i wanna go to these transfer days to get a better feel to help my decision but finals are coming up fast and i dont think i’ll have time to make the trip down to socal

@onehandedred‌

UCLA, of course.

As for the housing application, what exactly is the problem?

@ccnube‌
If you’re from socal, they invite you to this reception for transfer students. There are three different days for the reception since they take place in different locations (Costa Mesa, Arcadia, and San Diego).

@ale2194‌
See you there, man!

:P

@Cayton‌
lol, I guess I’m just slowly taking it all in. I’m still going to Berkeley.

@Cayton I click… and it does that circle thing in the tab over and over and eventually it goes to no data received page. Can you also access BruinView? It just crashes for me.

@onehandedred‌

Well, that isn’t normal…and what is BruinView?

Your one stop center for careers, internships, and research opportunities!

@oongaboonga, I live a lot closer to UCLA. I actually live in the LA county. I’m leaning a tiny bit more to UCLA but not a lot

@randombookie I just RSVP’d to Triton Transfer Day. My plan is to attend UCSD transfer day, ask my cousin to show me around UCLA, and visit UCB on a free day. Are you going with family? Maybe you can discuss that with them?

@oongaboonga, oh awesome! I’m not sure about going with my family to be honest. hey are you going to PILOT day for UCLA?

@randombookie‌ I have class and work on Friday, and I’m way up at San Francisco so it’s not convenient to travel. Would be really sweet if I could though. Why don’t you do that? Attend UCLA PILOT day on May 9th and the UCB Chancellor’s reception on May 10th.

@ocnative, I am so confused…where can we choose…where is the site to see the different dates and locations…??? One of those locations would be more convenient. What is the name of the event, because I see it is called AAP is some places…??? for ucla

@ccnube Don’t mean to interject but I am pretty sure that @ocnative was talking about UCB having different reception dates for its Southern California admits, not UCLA

Sorry @ccnube didn’t mean to mislead you. @SoCalLife310 is right that I was talking about the dates for Berkeley, not UCLA.

Is the socal reception a business casual event?

@ocnative I was wondering the same thing…The only piece of information I got from the student phone call over the weekend was that this event really isn’t “required” by any means. As a matter of fact she went so far as to say that she had attended this same event (she was a transfer from SoCal as well) and that she felt her questions were not answered in the least bit : /
