I will have 28 credits at the end of the semester, if all of my previous ones transfer that is.

Also, academically, the only teacher that knows my name is my spanish teacher. I asked my stat teacher how to do something on the calculator and he gave me a weird look, said he didn't know, then asked the class if anyone could "help this young lady", right there he didn't know my name. (and I've been in his class for more than a month). And my psych teacher, when she was giving back tests, she called me the wrong name. It took her a few seconds to wonder why I didn't get my test back.

Everyone who my parents and I have talked to about Towson says that there is personalized attention in the classroom; yea right. How personal can it be if the teachers don't know my name?

Also, with clubs, I don't know if it's like this in most schools, but the freshman aren't that involved. (As for me, it's because I don't want to go alone, I'd rather go with someone, and the groups are held at weird times as well). The people who are in the club already, sophomores, juniors and seniors all joined together as friends

I met a few people here at Towson but it's inconsistent. Like they go home on weekends, they have classes when I don't etc so it's hard to meet up. And it's weird when I have roomates that always go to bars and meet people. They're loving school and have tons of friends

Well, you have to go alone to clubs and be sort of assertive before you can make friends. How do you think those upper classmen got to know each other? Same thing with teachers -if you want them to know your name, go talk to them in their office hours. It sounds like you're kind of shy. That being said, an LAC might suit you better, BUT you need to do as well as you can where you are now, and that might require getting out of your comfort zone.

What are you supposed to say to them in office hours? Isn't office hours if you need help in a subject?

I am trying to do well academically while i'm here even though it is hard and overwhelming. The transfer process seems daunting and I don't even know how to start my essays
