Transfer Applicants - Spring 2011

I am a transfer applicant to The College of William and Mary for Spring 2011. I wont post all of my stats because, I'll be honest, I find it a little bit obnoxious when people do that on CC. I am currently a Sophomore Pre-Law student at a four year public school in the Mid-South. I am seeking admission into William and Mary next semester to study in the Environmental Science and Policy program because my school doesn't offer anything like it and I intend to specialize as an Environmental Attorney. If you're reading this then chances are you think W&M is as awesome as I do, so there's no need to elaborate on that point, haha.

The mid-year report for transfer applicants is due on November 22nd, but I submitted it today just in case. I wanted to post here to see if anybody who has gone through or is going through the transfer application process to William and Mary knows whether or not you receive confirmation when the admissions board processes this report. If you are supposed to receive confirmation then I think I might have to fax it again, because I haven't heard anything. It is an extremely busy time with Early Decisions being made and I understand that this could definitely cause a delay, but I just thought I'd check with other people's experiences to be sure. Thank you for your time, any advice you could offer would be much appreciated!

PS I noticed that I couldn't find any threads for Spring 2011 Transfer Applicants (that might, however, be because I am new to posting on College Confidential). So, if there are any fellow Spring 2011 applicants that would like to use this thread to neurotically commiserate with me over waiting for our decision letters that would be awesome, too.

dustyg, we do not send confirmation that mid-semester grades have been received. However, you are welcome to contact our office (757-221-4223) and ask if they’ve been received. It can take us up to a day to process if they are faxed or longer if they are mailed. You can also email our transfer application processor, Vanessa Pryor (vdpryo@wm.edu) to check whether or not they were received.

Good luck!

Thank you!
