If I apply to transfer from my current university, can I turn down the acceptances if I change my mind and decide not to transfer once the semester is over? As of right now I want to transfer, but if my my changes by the end of the semester, I want to make sure I can turn down these decisions and stay at my original institution. And before you say “why waste your time and theirs,” I know this sounds like I’m wasting time and energy, but I want to make sure that i have the ability to transfer next year if I don’t ever become comfortable in my school. Plus I have a feeling I will end up going through with this transfer, I’m just not 100% sure.
It is ok to apply to schools as a transfer even though you aren’t quite sure you will transfer. And yes, you can decline any admission offers you receive.
