Wharton curve hurts in easy courses and helps in tough courses. I took Accounting 101 last fall and it was somewhat hard. The average on the final was something around a 50%. I got somewhat better than that and ended up with an A. My friends took BPUB 250 last fall and it was a very easy course. I heard the averages were over 90%. That means you need to do near perfect to get an A. The Wharton curve almost guarantees at least a B if you put forth a good amount of effort. You would have to seriously not try to get bellow a C. It’s still a lot better than taking Orgo or Physics which have similar curves, tough material, and a lot of extremely smart hard working premeds trying to get As. Wharton curves work well because there are a good amount of students who don’t seem to care.

Thanks for the advice. I no longer have a problem because I realized I’d rather go to CAS over Wharton anyways.

I know you might not really be interested but if you really want to go into BBA business, then there are schools like NYU Stern and Berkeley HAAS.

Yeah, I’m applying to Stern. I want to stay in the east so no west coast schools for me

Good luck!
