For a variety of reasons I won't go into, I got a couple of F's a year ago. My school has an academic renewal option which I'm taking a part of, and I went to the transfer centre counselor to discuss how to include this in my TAG application.

She told me to include my F's on my transcript, which gave a GPA of 2.88 and told me to include in the comment section "All F grades will be erased through academic renewal"

So I did this, and my TAG was rejected for my GPA was too low.

I talked to a friend who transferred to UCLA, she told me I should have instead of stating my F grades, put ACADEMIC Renewal

"There's a reason why there's an Academic Renewal option when you're filling these applications out" she said.

So in my regular UC application, I'm changing my F grades to AR and below stating
"I specifically stated in my UC tag application that all F grades would be purged through academic renewal"

I know this may cause some problem because it doesn't match my TAG application, but I'm rather angry at what my counselor informed me to do, because it really cost me my TAG for UC Davis.

But then I go to CCSF so what do you expect?
