Hey everyone. I'm looking to transfer to fsu and was wondering my chances. I am currently a freshman at a very good university (top 20) but the political science program here is sub par. FSU's is better so that's the reason for transfer. I was accepted to FSU last year, but decided to go elsewhere so freshman acceptance was not a problem. My first semester at my current college I got a 3.5 GPA and I am looking at a cumulative of around 3.2-3.3 after this semester. What do you think my chances are? Also, does anyone know if the sororities there accept transfers? I am currently in a sorority here and would like to join my chapter at FSU. thanks!

What don’t you like about their PoliSci department. Weak course selections? Professors not that great? Transferring is pointless unless you’re at a Community College/earned your AA or bc your university doesn’t have the program you decided to major in.
Personally…I’d just stay and succeed at your university (save the time and money) and also do some independent study under supervision of a professor, which basically allows you to create your own classes which will look good on your resume and prepare you for possibly going to Grad School.

About sororities, I know a transfer student here who was able to transfer sororities but she wasn’t guaranteed though. She got in though, but she still had to apply and all that.
