I've googled this and there doesn't seem to be much information out there. I have a 2.8 GPA. What are my chances of being accepted to the school of communication based on that alone? And please don't tell me to e-mail or message someone else. The transfer acceptance rate is quite high, so I thought I'd give it a shot and apply despite having a low GPA.

How many transferable credits do you have? Also, where are you studying right now?

Hi there, I am no good at chancing so I am not going to try. I am just going to tell you that when I applied, I had an amazing essay, ECs, letter of recommendations, and a life story to wrap it all up. I sent in a very solid application with an overall GPA at about 3.4 and major GPA at about 3.6. However, for various reasons, my official transfer GPA was 2.95 on paper at the time because my professor wrongfully failed me. I have been accepted and my GPA has been restored. I know its hard not knowing but sense your GPA is on the low end, you should have other strong points in your application to support it.
