How many college credits do you have? Why is that GPA so low?

I have 17 transferable credits - unfortunately the only prereqs I have fulfilled are GE 3, 2 semesters (1 fall, 1 spring) of language, business prereqs (except for Intro to Macro), and the Writing Requirement. I’m taking 18 credits this semester. I really have no excuse for my GPA - I found the transition into college somewhat hard, but I know I can do much better this semester.

I feel you. I’m applying as a transfer with a 2.98 current gpa. I’d have a 3.2 if it wasn’t for my first semester at college. And it’s a long shot for people even with the right gpa, but if you don’t try you definitely won’t get in! Gotta keep positive and hope for the best!

Does anyone know anything about the transfer scholarships for the Marshall Business School? I am hoping to transfer with a 3.79 college GPA, I have completed Financial/Managerial Accounting, Micro/Macroeconomics and Business Calculus I and II. I have completed 63 credit hours total (so I’m not sending SAT/ACT scores) and have written decent essays. I have an ok amount of extracurriculars/volunteer work. My high school transcript is mediocre at best (Top 40% of graduating class, but did take several AP classes and got A’s and B’s). However, I don’t think the HS transcript matters that much if you’ve completed 63 credit hrs. Do you think I have any chance at a scholarship? Any info would be great.
