Transfer Chance please!! From BU

Hi, I'm a new member to this website, but I just wanted to be chanced!

Currently a sophomore at Boston University with 51 credits completed (I'm in the general studies school with the intention of going into the Hospitality school)
I'm from Dallas so I'm a resident.
Current GPA is a ~3.0 (2.98--> BU is known for grade deflation, it's ridiculous), but my last semester was a 3.5 and I was on the dean's list--> Also I'm thinking I'm going to have a 3.6 this semester ending with a 3.15
I'm applying as an Economics major in LA (I've got all of the core classes done)
And I'm pretty sure I have everything from the degree track required.
Really good essay
Lots of work experience (Marriott employee)
Member of the Undergraduate Economics Association along with other clubs as well

Thanks for all your help!!

I personally think you have a great chance…I base my decision on 2 things.

1) your GPA is close to a 3.0, I know its a little low, but if you have shown improvement from the previous semesters to your current semester I think they will see that.

2) You have completed most, if not all, of your degree track requirements for lower division courses.

If you submitted any other documents i.e.; good letters of rec. you should have a decent shot.

Unfortunately I didn’t do rec letters, because I called and they basically made it sound like they didn’t want them, so I didn’t send them in but I sent in my resume that’s chockfull of stuff. Thanks alot!! I feel a little better now!

Yeah letters aren’t required. I sent mine anyways, but they never did anything with it I dont think.

Id give you a good shot. A 3.0 can get you into the liberal arts college.
