Transfer chances at Uchicago??

I just got rejected from Uchicago!!! real bummer. Seems like I'll probably be going to Boston College, but I don't feel like commiting to it; I MUST GET INTO Uchicago!!! lol (not really, but it would be nice)

Anyways, how hard is it for a transfer applicant to get into Uchicago from a place like Boston College??

get cozy w/ a couple teachers for good recs. make great grades. submit an application and hope..

get REALLY cozy w/a couple teachers to get good recs...

bump bump bump

Depends. I am a transfer from a 2 year. Just do well at BU and focus on school and stuff then transfer.

From an admission counselor's blog:

There are a number of students who apply as transfer students each year having first applied as first-year candidates.

Typically, what I recommend, if you are considering this option, is to send me an email or give me a call, so that I can share a bit of the transfer admissions process with you, and to offer some advice in terms of choosing a first-year curriculum at another institution. The short story here is that you select a set of courses which would most mirror the courses at Chicago. For instance, if you were going to take a course in the Biological Sciences, you would want to take one with a Lab sequence which is what our Core Bio course includes.
