I'm a non-trad (27) student currently in community college. I have a 4.0gpa in community college and I am in my second semester. I would be transferring as a sophmore. I'm in-state. Since it's been more than 5 years since high school, I'm not required to take the SATs. My high school performance wasn't very good; but not because I wasn't able to do well, I just wasn't interested in school at the time because it seemed too easy and just something I was required to do. I've since changed, I now value learning and am more focused. I know I could get a few recommendations from my CC professors. Do I have a shot or should I just wait 'til I get my associate's?

Mods, can you delete this thread?

Sorry, I have no idea what the “chances” are in regard to transferring in Virginia before one’s AA degree.

However, a bit of friendly advice -

It’s great that you say you’ve “changed.” But, forget about the excuses. They will not help you. Do your best from this point forward and carry on. Good luck.
